Dr. Hanna N. Aghabi has been distinguished as a pioneer in Family Medicine with distinction in the Leading Physicians of the World and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Aghabi completed the Family Medicine residency program at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York. His plan to give back to those less fortunate began immediately with his becoming Director of a Family Health Center in Brooklyn New York serving those without easy access to a regular doctor. His social and academic achievements increased rapidly, and Dr. Aghabi was given a teaching position at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center, and he became a respected academic leader and advisor to young students and physicians. Dr. Aghabi is the Honorary Medical Director for a Healthy Downstate. He received many awards for his efforts in cancer prevention and healthy lifestyle education, and has maintained board certification by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine.
In medical school, Dr. Aghabi excelled in biochemistry and developed an early understanding of the relationship of various chemical compounds to a healthy lifestyle and a healthy body. He has shared this knowledge throughout his career combining medical knowledge and a deeper understanding of molecular interactions to train students, inspire doctors, and to help patients.
